Who Covered it Best – Underwater

In the previous edition of Who Covered it Best, The Red Dress was up for deliberation. Everneath won but The Girl in the Steel Corset was a close second. I voted for Rumors because I like the shade of the red dress and the fact that it takes up over half of the cover. But alas, I was in the minority on that one.

At Stormy’s suggestion, we’ll focus this one on the Underwater theme. I am digging all the blue! As usual, cast your vote and let me know why you voted the way you did, or if you have suggestions for future cover themes.

I love to hear your thoughts and read every single one of them.

  1. This round was a hard choice they all are beautiful!!! I love this feature. Can’t wait to see who wins this one.

  2. I choose BREATHLESS by Lurlene McDaniel for a few reasons – first, its the only book of this list I have read; second, I grew up on Lurlene McDaniel’s books and love her! and third, having read the book I think the cover fits the plot line perfectly. Makeup wise I still would choose the same book.

  3. I really love the simplicity of IMAGINARY GIRLS and how the read font brings out her red hair :)

  4. I choose Imaginary Girls because there is just something so mystical about that cover for me. I meant its like the picture was flipped on it’s side because of the little motion in the water just to the right of the girl, I want to know why. It draws me in, makes me question how the girl got in that position.

I voted for Breathless, but I deliberated over Wish. I would’ve voted for Wish, I think, if her bathingsuit wasn’t quite so colorful :S It just kind of ruined the image for me.

  6. I like Imaginary Girls the best, because of all the color contrast (and the lack of thrashing/bubbles, which distort the image). I’d love to see an underwater cover where it doesn’t look like the girl is dead/dying, though (Lies Beneath being the only one thus far).

  7. I love this feature! What a very cool idea to host this poll, love it! I picked New Girl, but Imaginary Girls came in as a close second. I really love them both but I think the way the title text was written really got me. Underwater covers are always so gorgeous.

  8. I voted for Imaginary Girls because of the shock of red that is a nice contrast with all of the blue. :-)

I picked imaginary girls cause that cover is so captivating. I’ve always loved that cover and wanted to read it but heard it was no good. =/
