In the earlier edition of Who Covered It Best?, I gave you a selection of lovely ladies lying about. You chose Born Wicked, by a huge landslide.

Now we’re taking a look at book covers that showcase white dresses. Apparently these women aren’t worried about getting their dresses dirty because they’re laying down on the forest floor, hanging out in a cemetery, walking on the beach, or sitting on the ground. So grab your stain remover and vote for the one that you like best (if the poll doesn’t show, refresh your screen).

I voted for Rapture. I love that dress and I think that even if I wasn’t reading the Fallen series I’d have to seriously contemplate reading it just for the gorgeous dresses on the cover. I adore that white dress and love how the background offsets it so beautifully.

I voted for ‘My Name Is Memory’. Very interesting and well written book.

I went for Rapture, because wearing a white shift-style dress is only dramatic if you have a great backdrop (like a stormy sea). Otherwise, it makes you look like a child. And can I just say…this whole frooferah dress thing needs to do away. Cover artists need to tone down on the ‘looks like a wedding ball gown from the Tsar’s grand ball’ thing. It’s gone from a subtle indicator of romance and old-world ideas to a ‘Gypsy wedding’ triteness.

I’m such a sucker for a pretty white (or any colour) dress. I spent quite a while staring at all of the pretty covers before choosing “Chosen.” I’d love to take the dress off the cover and put in on right now!
ALICE IN ZOMBIELAND, definitely. I love her dress!
