TGIF @ GReads – Supporting Characters

TGIF at GReads is a weekly meme hosted by GReads. This week’s question asks:

Supporting Characters: We tend to gush over those main characters the most, but what about those supporting roles? Who are some of your favorites?

One of my favorites is Celeste from Flat-Out Love by Jessica Park. She’s an unusual young teen with some interesting quirks. She is a sensitive soul who needs the main character, Julie, to spend time with her and help her resolve her issues.

Jules from Die For Me and Until I Die by Amy Plum is a sweety. He is the comic relief who makes Kate smile even while she is dealing with all of her “My boyfriend dies every month” drama. Though he’s flirty and a ladies’ man, you can tell he really cares for Kate.

Danny from Raw Blue is probably a literal lifesaver to Carly in Raw Blue by Kirsty Eagar. He’s the one who manages to break the shell Carly’s formed around her heart after a traumatic experience. Without him there, she might not have started her healing process.

That’s all I can think of right now, but I know as soon as I start seeing everyone else’s choices, I’m going to be kicking myself for forgetting a bunch. So, forgive me for my lack of imagination. And the addenda I’m sure I’ll add on later.

Who do you think I missed? Do you agree or disagree with my choices? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

  1. Ooh, I’m really interested in reading Flat Out Love! I have a copy but haven’t gotten around to it yet. I’ll have to do so soon. I’m really looking forward to reading about Celeste now! :D

    • Epic fail, Smash. Stop what you’re doing right now and read Flat-Out Love. You’ll thank me later.
