Recommend A… is a fun meme created by Chick Loves Lit that provides a weekly prompt for a book we would recommend. This week’s prompt is to recommend a book by a male author.
Man, this is a hard one for me. I was torn, but since I recommended The Passage last time, I’m going to go with Rot & Ruin by Jonathan Maberry.

I had never heard of this book before, but I was in the library and passed by it on the shelf. The thick size and creepy spine caught my eye and I grabbed it. I was expecting a basic zombie book, but it was so much more. It really surprised me, in the best way possible.
I won’t gush over it, I did enough of that in my review, but I recommend it highly to anybody who’s looking for a great zombie novel.
I’m starting this one next!

Yes! I love this series so, so much. When I’m recommending zombie books to someone this is always one of the first two series that comes to mind (the other is Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick). Plus Jonathan Maberry seems like a very nice guy, which is an added bonus.
