Indie Author Giveaway Hop

For this giveaway from I Am A Reader, Not A Writer and Krazy Book Lady, I get to give a shout-out to an underappreciated group – independent authors. If you’ve read this blog (or my Twitter or Facebook) at all, you know that the best darn book ever written is Flat-Out Love by Jessica Park, who just happens to be an indie author.

I think self-publishing is a great alternative to anyone who doesn’t have the patience, time or desire to deal with a publishing house. Thanks to a few bad apples with no grammatical skill or imagination, however, the entire self-publishing community has earned a very undeserved bad rap.

So in addition to offering Flat-Out Love, natch, I am giving away an ebook copy of all the indie novels below (thanks to Jessica for the author suggestions). All of them have received at least a 3.6 or above rating on Goodreads and they all sound fabulous (I gave Beautiful Disaster 4 owls last year)! The book covers lead to their Goodreads pages.

This giveaway will be for an ereader copy of ALL 12 of the above books. (If you already have a few of them, we can make an alternate indie selection.) Any format you prefer is fine. Good luck!

  1. I’ve heard SO many good thinks about Flat Out Love (including your gushing about it, haha) and I’d love to read it! A lot of the other books sounds great too. Good on you Andrea for supporting indie authors in such an enormous way. Thanks for the giveaway as well!

  2. Thank you very much for this fabulous giveaway! I’m dying to read Beautiful disaster and Flat out love!

  3. Great giveaway! The only indie I’ve read and really loved was Angelfall by Susan Ee. I picked it up because so many people on Goodreads were blown away by it – and I’d love to find some more self published YA out there that is just as great. Unfortunately, I’ve picked up quite a few now that I’ve regretted so I tend to shy away from trying them.

It’s really helpful when bloggers out there are spreading the word about good self-published books. So many blogs (probably mine included) focus on the newest, hottest published YA. I’ll definitely be checking some of these out.
