Clock Rewinders on a Book Binge 4/30/12

Clock Rewinders on a Book Binge is where Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Tara @ 25 Hour Reads shamelessly plug each other, share the fantastic posts, giveaways, or whatever else they’ve found and loved by other awesome bloggers (or authors!) during the week, and talk about the books they plan on reading in the coming week. I plan to start participating in this weekly, as it looks like a great way to find new friends and new content to check out. Let the rewinding begin!

The Busy Bibliophile Recap

  • I featured a book trailer and gave away some swag
  • Posted a new Who Covered it Best – Underwater
  • Book review – The Other Life: The Weepers by Susanne Winnacker
  • Book review – But I Love Him by Amanda Grace

    In Andrea’s World

  • Ummm… I got nothin’. I’m approaching the end of the semester and scrambling to finish all of my classwork. I did some laundry. That about sums it up. You know, in the future, I think I’ll skip this section unless I have something that is actually interesting to say. So, sorry you had to sit through the laundry thing. We’ll avoid that in the future.

    Elsewhere on the Interwebs

  • Forever Young Adult reviewed the fun movie: 17 Again
  • The Bookish Brunette revealed the new Pyxis cover and the cover for the follow-up, Alight. I really liked Pyxis (here’s my review) and am looking forward to Alight.
  • Patricia @ Patricia’s Particularity is hosting a giveaway for an excellent YA Saves Reading Challenge book, Lessons From a Dead Girl. She also chatted with author Jennifer Brown about her book Bitter End.
  • Isalys made me put Jenny Pox on my to-be-read-very-soon list.
  • Elle @ Elle Goes Nerd reminded me why I love Delirium and Alex so much.
  • Galleycat posted a fun infographic to teach you how to speed up your reading. The post also includes a link to a quick little test that measure how fast you read now.

Search Terms that Led to TBB

  • dirty blonde hair with dark on the bottom – Umm… I hope you found what you were looking for?
  • boyfriend girlfriend texts memes – Yeah, I don’t know what to say to this one.
  • conrad and jeremiah – Jeremiah! I haven’t read the last book, but I swear if she doesn’t pick Jeremiah, I am going to throw a temper tantrum.
  • encrypted_search_terms – Do I have some of these on my blog?
  • stephanie perkins – A goddess. I love her.

    Books I read

  • I finished Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson and Illuminate by Aimee Agresti
    speak illuminate

  • I started Hourglass by Myra McEntire and Fade by Lisa McAnn
    hourglass by Myra McEntire

Books That Are New to Me

  • I won the whole Shift series from Britney and Kimberly @ Living Fictitiously. They are personalized and autographed! Sweet!
  • I love to hear your thoughts and read every single one of them.

    1. I hate those encrypted search terms. And the unknown ones. They are not helpful at all.

Welcome to the Clock Rewinders fold! And you’re welcome to play around with the sections a bit. The only thing really “required” is the section about what you found around the web. Everything else is pretty much up to you. :)

Thank you! I look forward to seeing all the highlights other people post about.

    2. Woohoo! So glad my review made you want to read JENNY POX. Whenever you do read it, prepare to have your mind rocked! lol

I don’t get that many fun search terms :( I only got one and frankly, it was more creepy than anything else!

Oh and congrats on winning the SHADE series. It’s another favorite of mine :D

        Okay, my mind is prepared!

I would love to know what exactly a “header erotic audio” is and how it led to your site!

Thank you! I look forward to seeing all the highlights other people post about.

    4. What a fun meme! I found some fun links and loved laughing at the search terms! I really need to read Speak. I hope you love Hourglass – it was one of my favourite reads of 2011!

      • thebusybibliophile says:

It is a fun meme, isn’t it? I am really loving Hourglass so far. I’m just about halfway through it.

    5. Yay so glad you’re participating in this meme too. I find that the best part is the link love to other blogs and the search terms. Those can be so hilarious.

    6. I LURVE YOUR DESIGN! Just, all of it. And the owls. ♥

I love the speed read graphic, and totally agree that you should put Jenny Pox way up the list!

    7. You know, this post looks like such fun – I Love the inclusion of the search phrases on how people find the blog, some of those are just hilarious, I love looking through mine! LOL some of them are seriously like WTH, others are like ‘oh you know I should DO something like that, or ask that question because it’s a good one!” :D

Your blog is seriously lovely! Thanks so much for dropping by my FF, I would’ve commented on a review but I don’t see one for a book I have read yet (really behind on my reading, pathetic i know) :D

If i don’t already subscribe to your blog, I’m definitely going to [sad that I can't remember these things!] :)
